Health Care Service Corporation Ranks 19th on DiversityInc's 12th Annual "Top 50 Companies for Diversity" List
Chicago, Illinois May 1, 2012 – Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) ranked 19th on DiversityInc's 2012 list of Top 50 Companies for Diversity® - up seven spots from its 2011 ranking. In addition, the country's largest customer-owned health insurer also ranked third in DiversityInc.'s Top 10 Companies for Supplier Diversity. HCSC operates Blue Cross and Blue Shield Plans in Illinois, New Mexico, Oklahoma as well as Texas and has been recognized as one of the Top 50 Companies for Diversity for the last eight years in a row.

In a breakthrough year, huge gains in diversity were seen at the senior-most levels. At the CEO level, companies in the 2012 DiversityInc Top 50 have twice the percentage of women as the Fortune 500, triple the percentage of Asians and four times the percentages of Blacks and Latinos.
